What is your goal?


What is your running history?

Nine marathons, 20 or more half marathons, several other shorter races.

What is your favorite place to run?

The MPLS lakes chain, Big Rivers Trail, the Mississippi Trail in IGH and near Hastings.

What is your best running pump-up song?

Right now, it's Animals by The Architects. It rotates, but it's always something aggressive. From Volbeat to Alice In Chains, etc.

What are your running cravings?

Watermelon, chocolate milk, or a salty bag of potato chips.

What is your favorite part of running?

The overall sense of well-being. Alignment. Focus. Sanity. It just makes everything more 'right'.

What is your post-run drink?

Usually just water, but some longer runs I'll have a Vitamin Water. But later on, probably some craft beer.

What is a fun fact about you?

Been to China, but never Canada, even though I spent my first 38 years in Northern MN.

Reason for running for ACT

It's a subject that interests me. The imbalances caused by our modern age. Not only diet, but the overreach and excess of some things that are science-based (antibiotics). It's a careful dance with the nature that's been in place.
